Gallardo To Start NLDS Game 1

September 28, 2011

Although the schedule has yet to be set, the Brewers have already decided to start Yovani Gallardo as their pitcher for Game 1 of the NL Division Series. If this sounds familiar to anyone, Gallardo pitched Game 1 in the Brewers’ 2008 playoff series against the Phillies. The Brewers lost that game 3-1. Gallardo is 17-10 with a 3.52 ERA this season. Do you think he’s a good choice for Game 1?

Milwaukee Meltdown: Braun to the Rescue?

September 2, 2011

Rounding third on what looked like a potential inside the park Home Run, Ryan Braun embarrassingly stumbled into a face plant half way home and was thrown out. Braun’s Brewers have figuratively stumbled, letting St. Louis back into the pennant race by dropping three straight to the Cardinals this week. While Braun failed to score against the Cardinals, he is leading the Brewers with 93 trips around the bases. Hopefully Milwaukee’s series with Houston will remedy Braun’s and the Brewer’s offensive woes. How many Runs will Ryan Braun score against the Astros?
