Can The Dodgers Overcome The Embarrassment?

The Dodgers have had quite a season. Despite the struggles the team has had, the Dodgers have two players in the race for the NL MVP and NL Cy Young Award: Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw, respectively. So can a team with a record under .500 achieve some of the top awards in baseball? Kershaw currently leads the NL in strikeouts (231) and is tied for first in ERA. Kemp, on the other hand, is third in the NL in home runs (33) and second in RBIs (109). Winning team or not, there’s no denying that this duo is in the top of their league and have been valuable contributions to the Dodgers this season. Battle In The AL West

Today begins a three game series between the AL West first placed ranked Texas Rangers and the second place Los Angeles Angels. Against Texas, the Angels are 6-7 with a 3-3 record at Ameriquest Field. The Angles have performed well on the road; however, the Rangers have 40-25 home record, which suggests the team will put up a tough battle to maintain their first place position in the AL West.
