Phillies To Reach 100 Wins

The Phillies are on track to be the first team this season to reach 100 wins. After ending their road trip against the Reds and Marlins with five wins and two losses, the Phillies have a 88-48 record. Pretty impressive! This will likely be the third time in the franchise’s history that they will cross the triple digit win threshold (the Phillies won 101 games in both 1976 and 1977). The Phillies will have to go 12-14 for the rest of the season to reach 100 wins. Take a look at how this elite team is performing this season. Click on the charts for a closer look.

The Phillies are surely one of the best franchises in baseball this season. Although their offense may not be the strongest in the league, their pitching is ranked first in ERA and WHIP and second in quality starts. Based on their current record and schedule for the remainder of the season, my guess is they’ll have a franchise record breaking season and win over 101 games. Do you agree?
