Cardinals K.O.’D?

by

10.5 games behind the first place Milwaukee Brewers, the 2011 St. Louis Cardinals are down for the count.  Milwaukee looks to cap their best month in franchise history (21-5 in August) by permanently sending the Cardinals to their corner.  While the Brewers are 8-4 against the Cardinals this season, the Cardinals big bats of Pujols, Berkman and Halliday have out preformed the Milwaukee trio of Fielder, Braun and Weeks.

The Brewers will have the advantage on the mound tonight as Milwaukee’s Shawn Marcum (11-4, 3.38 ERA) will face St. Louis’ Edwin Jackson( 10-9, 3.94 ERA).  Check out their 2011 numbers.

Can the Cardinals get off the ropes or will the Brewers all but clinch their first ever NL Central Pennant?
