Keys to the Game: Red Sox Vs Rangers, August 24, 2011

After Scoring 11 Runs last night in their 11-5 victory, the Red Sox will get one of their biggest bats back off of the DL tonight. Boston’s DH David Ortiz (.300 Batting Average and 24 Home Runs) is in the lineup tonight for the first time in 10 days.  Compare Ortiz’s production this season with Ranger’s DH Ian Kinsler.

Ortiz and the rest of the high powered Red Sox offense will face Ranger’s Lefty Matt Harrison (10-8, 3.23 ERA), who has been dominant in his last six starts in Arlington going 4-0, with a 2.16 ERA and a phenomenal Strikeout to Walk ratio of 10.66.

ERs Allowed (Blue), Strikeouts (Orange) & Walks (Green)

Josh Beckett (10-5, 2.46 ERA) gets the call for the Red Sox tonight.  Beckett has struggled against Texas in his career going 2-2 with a 5.53 ERA and allowing six Home Runs in seven starts.
