Whiskey For Werth

by

One Washington watering hole has begun a novel promotion to keep fans interested in the struggling Nationals.  To encourage fans to support the team’s  expensive off-season acquisition, Jayson Werth, one tavern is giving a free shot of whiskey to every patron in Nationals gear whenever the faltering slugger gets a hit on Sundays.  Nat fans can wash back the whiskey with a $2.19 beer as the bar has gauged the price of domestic tall boys to Werth’s batting average.  Lets see Werth’s production so far this season against Washington’s next three opponents.

Blue (Hits), Oragne (At-Bats), Green (RBIs)

In 2011 against the Mets, Braves and Rockies Werth is only 16 for 78 (.205 batting average) with 7 RBIs.  Lets hope, for the sake of thirsty Washingtonians, that in August Werth can begin to put up numbers worth his seven year $126 million contract.
