NL East Showdown

by

With the Phillies dominating in the NL East, the Mets and Marlins are both struggling to stay out of last place. Today’s game is the final showdown in a three game series; both teams have each won one game. Gaby Sanchez, who is hitting .333 with eight hits and three RBIs against the Mets, and Emilio Bonifacio, who is batting .429 with five runs and nine hits against the Mets, both hope to continue batting practice against the Mets’ pitchers. The Marlins have won eight of their last 11 against the Mets. Take a look at how the offenses and defenses stack up against each other.

The Mets may look like the stronger team overall, but I think the underdog will prevail in this match-up given the their record against the Mets.
